Ref No 933: Training Specialist (Maintenance)
LOCATION: Andover, Hampshire (Peripatetic)
Main Purpose of Role:
To provide maintenance training to MOD and other personnel on a variety of C Vehicles in support of the C Vehicles capability contract.
Key Accountabilities:
•Using the training documentation provided, deliver effective maintainer-related practical and theory training courses to groups of students both in the UK and abroad.
•Continually evaluate the effectiveness of training materials for all courses being delivered and recommend changes in order to ensure that all training packages remain current and meet the aim of the course.
•Prepare, review and distribute joining instructions in advance of training being delivered.
•Prepare and distribute individual student course reports and internal validation (InVal) reports as required by the Vehicles Capability Training Manager. The style, format and content of all reports are to be agreed with the C Vehicles Capability Training Manager.
•Prepare and distribute or deliver either written or verbal briefs to the C Vehicles Capability Training Manager or other appropriate stakeholders in order to provide progress updates or highlight any specific issues relating to the training courses being delivered.
•Prepare, review and distribute course certification for all students.
•Prepare, review and utilise the most up to date versions of all appropriate training and instructional media to be used to support the training courses being delivered.
•Assist with the transportation of training media to authorised training locations and other locations identified by the C Vehicles Capability Training Manager.
•Participate in and, where required, organise, meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
•Visit appropriate stakeholders to conduct off-site meetings and interviews and other tasks appropriate to the preparation or delivery of training courses.
•Assist with the movement of training vehicles and training equipment between locations as necessary.
•Report training vehicle defects to the relevant agencies.
•Ensure that safe working practices are followed in respect of all activities carried out on any site.
Relevant Experience (Desirable)
Demonstrable experience of working within the equipment maintenance segment of the Defence Sector.
Experience of maintaining C Vehicles and ECP equipment.
Five years maintainer training / instructing experience.
Served as a member of HM Forces.

Literacy – must be able to communicate clearly and confidently in both verbal and written forms of communication.
Hold a current UK Driving Licence categories B, and C+E.
Salary details: Approx. £28,000 (negotiable subject to experience)
