Primary focus and responsibility to be key activity under the heading of ‘Technical Consultancy and Process Governance', with an overall objective of driving continuous improvement through Technical Design and Build phases in terms of productivity and quality. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with Analysts, Designers, Technical personnel and Business representatives to champion technical solutions within these areas. Experience with using the off shore model of engagement would be desirable.The position holder will:Ownership for all Tech Design and Build processes to drive continuous improvementConfirm Buy-in and understanding of Tech Design and Build processesQA adherence to agreed processes and standardsProvide Technical Consultancy and Governance during all delivery phases to promote:-Simplification of existing solutionsExploit standard out of the box solutions (e.g. R3 SAP, CRM, .Net, Java,)Config switch on/off software enhancementsGeneral Technical Improvements to drive agility, maintenance and performanceTechnical issue resolution as requiredAbility to critically view business processes from a technical integration perspective and identify opportunities for improvements and re-designConfirm Buy-in and understanding of Technical Design and Build ProcessesSkills Required :In-depth knowledge in one of SAP R3/CRM/.Net/Java/C#/VB technologiesExperience of several full software development life cyclesExposure to formal design methodologiesEvidence of design and development of complex business solutions across multiple business environments utilising the above technology streamsHigh degree of business understanding with a view of future technical strategy to improve productivity and efficiencyTake responsibility for self development to support the achievement of personal, departmental and business objectivesAnticipate internal and external customers needs by demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to change
