The client is a leading global provider of electrical power systems, avionics, actuation and landing gear, aero structures and propeller systems to the builders and operators of military and civil aircraft
Summary of Position:
Multiple requirements currently exist at all levels form Systems Engineers to Senior / Principle Systems Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a full appreciation of the complete systems life cycle from requirements Capture / Analysis through to Systems Design, Systems Test, and integration to in-service delivery.
Key Areas of Experience required include a good mix of the following.
Systems Requirements Capture, understanding and documentation of the customer's system requirements.
Creating Systems Designs for build in test functions, implementation of systems design within an electronics Hardware & Software environment.
Design Avionic systems architectures in co-operation with aircraft manufacturers.
Create Model based designs using state-of-the-art computer aided systems and software engineering tools. Perform Avionic systems analysis, modelling and simulation.
ANY experience of working within the following environments desirable.
Use of requirements management tools e.g. DOORS.
Use of System Design and modelling tools e.g. MATLAB Simulink, SCADE, VAPS, Artisan OOA.
Any experience of the following – CanBus, Arinc, FXDX, Emulators, Black Box testing, Laboratory testing.
An understanding of any of the following avionics environments – Electrical Power Management Systems, Electronic Displays, Data Concentrators, Landing Gear Control Systems, Fuel Gauge Systems.
The real key to these positions is having an understanding at any level of the full systems lifecycle e.g.
Customer requirements gathering, analysis. Systems Design & Test, Delivery and customer evaluation.
