SYSTEMS ENGINEER - DEFENCE & AIRPORT SYSTEMS

* Numerous roles available in our client's Defence division for Systems Engineering Consultants to work in Defence/Airport market Sectors
* Involves applying systems engineering principles/techniques to support large scale projects in systems engineering, requirements management & systems assurance
* For this Systems Engineering role within a multi-disciplinary customer team you must have the character to be assertive/ pragmatic in approach with an understanding that consultancy is about performing a monitoring & advisory role as well as delivering as an individual
* Self starter, able to drive things forward & persuade customers/suppliers of the value of a disciplined approach to systems engineering/assurance
* Must be:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Numerate Discipline, ideally Systems Engineering/Software Engineering
- Higher relevant degree advantageous
- Experience of Systems Engineering Methods; requirements management, systems architecture, architecture frameworks, system/technology maturity assessments, change/configuration management, test management, interface/assumptions management
- Systems Assurance; audit/review of user requirements, system specifications/designs, assessments of systems/software supplier capabilities with respect to processes, products, quality/programme adherence, software-hardware integration & acceptance test
- Systems Engineering/Requirements Management Tools & Techniques, such as DOORS (essential) & awareness of tools such as MODAF/DODAF, UML etc
- Working in a coherent Systems & Software Assurance programme for large integrated system comprising various suppliers equipment/software |
