STRESS ENGINEER / HERTFORDSHIRE / £NEG
Key role for a Stress Engineer to conduct Hand & computer aided detailed strength & stiffness analysis of lightweight spacecraft & related structures
* Applications sought from Stress Engineers with exp in aerospace or lightweight structures engineering / detailed stress
design exp &/or antenna structure design / analysis
* MSC NASTRAN & FEMAP or UGS IDEAS or MSC PATRAN
* Desirable exp: Composites/aerospace design &/or antenna structure design/analysis
* Degree/equiv in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering essential
ROLE:
- Varied Stress Engineer role to provide information for Designers to produce Engineering Drawings
- Support static/dynamic testing including loads specification & test result assessment
- Finite Element Model generation & use for static/dynamic loads using a pre- & post-processor & NASTRAN solver
- Must be able to work from self generated load balances & NASTRAN output
- Interpret engineering drawings/competent use of electronic media to convey engineering information; produce concise reports for delivery to customers
- Write up work clearly, concisely, fully referenced
- Report to Lead Stress Engineer working in a concurrent engineering team comprising Structures, Thermal, Propulsion & Manufacturing Engineers |
