In addition to a solid academic background my client is interested in candidates with significant experience in several of the following areas:
C, C++ preferably in and embedded and/or real-time context;
Java, SQL, and Web development;
IP based communications protocols and networks;
Encryption and security;
E-mail protocols/applications, HTTP;
Telecommunications;
Defence Systems Engineering;
Development and execution of test plans and procedures;
Development of innovative solutions and technical 'white-papers' and accompanying commercial proposals;
Project and programme management;
Team leading and mentoring;
Customer-facing delivery and business development
As much of the work that the Engineers and Developers carry out is done in small teams it is important that candidate are able to design, develop, debug and deliver.
