IMAGE SYNTHESIS ENGINEER / AVON / £29K
* We are keen to hear from Image Synthesis Engineers with specialist knowledge in software engineering, including C++, UML, Linux
* Other skills must include awareness/exp of electro-optic, RF, communications or media technologies
* Good working exp in more than one phase of the engineering lifecycle
* Commercial/financial awareness & ability to manage budgets also a must
This varied role covers the full range of software engineering activities within the electro-optical skill area. You will supply specialist advice/support across the dept/projects. May lead small peer teams & will develop specialist skills in real-time engineering. The key indicators in this challenging role:
- Design/develop software solutions to time/budget
- Effective time management of self/any peers
- Fit for purpose nature of technical outputs
- Respond quickly/effectively to customer needs
The Image Synthesis Engineer will:
* Develop/deliver technical solutions to meet Project requirements for: Development of real-time software to support EO scene generation & RF target generation for seeker & missile test; Test, documentation/continued support to existing real-time scene/target generator systems on behalf of Projects
* Develop/enhance technical capability within the Sensors & Comms technical domain: Develop Prototype SW to deliver sensor & datalink demonstration capability & SW functionality for datalinks; On-going support to department real-time seeker test facilities; Enhance overall SW capability/process within Sensors & Comms; Provide local focus for capability
