Senior Software Engineer (2 roles available at different levels £28-45k dep on exp) for this small but expanding world leader of specialist real-time real-time video tracking and image processing sub-systems based in Berkshire Hants, Surrey area commutable from Reading, Bracknell, Slough, Staines, Farnborough, Farnham etc.
Responsibilities will include - Design & development of real time software. Preparation of design documentation. Software test & validation. Provide technical support to manufacturing and other engineering departments. Work closely with project managers, systems engineers, marketing & sales people with occasional field support (overseas & UK).
You will possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline with proven relevant work experience. You will need experience with C/C++ in a real time embedded environment and familiarity with hardware integration.
For this role good written and verbal communications as well as good documentation skills are required as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. You must be a good team player but able to work on own initiative plus any of following would be considered beneficial :
Familiarity with RTOS environments such as VxWorks. Experience with implementing data processing algorithms. Experience in image processing and/or electro optics systems. Experience in the defence and aerospace sector. Windows programming.
