We are currently seeking a Senior Law Clerk to work within the Enforcement team in a local authority based in East London.
Duties will include enforcement matters including anti social behaviour work, local authority prosecutions and liaising with external solicitors & organisations. You will also be responsible for ensuring clients are kept updated an all matters. Areas of work covered by the team include, prosecutions for fraud, anti-social behaviour,
under age sales of alcohol and full range of prosecutions in respect of local authority regulatory functions.
In terms of knowledge you will need to have an understanding of local government law, of court and other procedures and of the law relating to the legal fields which relate to the Enforcement team. In terms of experience you will need to have handled legal cases relating to Enforcement matters, have advised clients and worked within a performance management framework and achieving agreed targets and outcomes.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work well as part of a team, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and urgent demands and to work to tight deadlines and be able to communicate concisely and effectively in writing and orally.
