Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design process to produce accurate information in line with the cost plan and whole life programme;
• Complete each consultant Deed of Appointment, and manage them to the agreed scope of services;
• Seek to utilise the innovation strategies available into projects as the Best Practice & Innovation Checklist;
• Utilise the Quality Management Systems as a tool to manage the design process and minimise risk;
• Develop a design programme with the consultants to meet the WLP date;
• Provide leadership and impart knowledge to allocated trainees and assistant design co-ordinators
• Provide the role of information catalyst to the Project Team and maintain an accurate Document Register;
• Complete a Design Progress Statement prior to each Pre-construction Project Review meeting;
• Produce and disseminate a Design Quality Plan bespoke to each project;
• Chair design team meetings and issue actions to all involved within 2 days;
• Compile a Working Drawing Checklist for approval by the pre-con Manager;
• Produce and complete a Milestone Document to the agreed timescale;
• Monitor and update the Road and Sewer Adoption tracking logs;
• Manage and process all consultant payments to the Deed of Appointment.
