Summary of the role
To develop and manage implementation of the Organisational Areas (OA) Review Learn & Improve (RLI) processes, working with the OA operational areas and the Assurance function, deriving and re-energising the RLI process and aligning it with the Company Processes. To manage the delivery of an integrated OA Assurance Cultural Improvement Programme underpinning the Company Target Zero programme with an emphasis on delivering Incident and Injury Free performance in the OA. (The OA Assurance Cultural Improvement Programme is aligned with, and forms part of, the Company Target Zero programme and includes: Incident and Injury Free Workshops, Assurance Observation Reporting, RLI Matrix, Behavioural Safety, Leading Behaviours, STAR (Stop, Think, Act & Review), Work Supervisory Officer Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance Self Monitoring.)
Key accountabilities
• Develop and implement the Organisational Areas (OA) Review Learn & Improve (RLI) processes
• Develop and deliver the OA Assurance Observation Report (AOR) Roll-out programme
• Develop and deliver Incident and Injury Free Workshops
• Manage Leading Behaviours Programme
• Develop and deliver implementation of Behavioural Safety where agreed with Business Leaders
• Manage the OA response to Assurance Learning from Experience
• Undertake other Assurance Services Manager tasks as appropriate (Accident & Incident Investigation, Acceptance Review, Audits / Inspections)
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Software
• Knowledge of relevant assurance legislation, standards and best practice
• Knowledge of facilitation techniques
• Educated to degree level standard, or equivalent experience
• Recognised safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH, or working towards gaining a safety qualification
• Extensive experience of working in the nuclear or other high hazard industry required
• Experienced in the use of facilitation techniques
• Experienced in relevant business improvement techniques
• Handling information effectively
