As the Senior
Buyer for a global defence and engineering organisation, you will be required to provide procurement support to the Production department ensuring material requirements are met within timescales and pricing targets. Our exclusively retained client delivers cutting edge solutions to the Aerospace industry and has a portfolio of products relating to avionics, communications, warfare systems and radar. Based in Crawley, West Sussex, the Aerospace division is keen to secure the services of a procurement professional who can make a significant contribution to the purchasing of both Mechanical and Electronic engineering products. Candidates will work closely with the Production Planning department, providing purchasing support to low volume, high value manufacturing assembly projects. Applicants should have a track record in the procurement function, capable of demonstrating successful negotiations and developing profitable relationships with internal/external departments. It would also be preferable for candidates to have previous projects experience having knowledge of finance, commercial contracts, materials procurement and ideally the technologies employed in electronic systems manufacture. Membership of an appropriate professional body such as CIPS or any qualifications relating to Engineering would be of interest, although not essential. Salary £30k + Excellent Benefits. |
