Dstl’s Sensors and Countermeasures Department forewarns and forearms across a huge range of critical situations. As well as providing crucial technology support to the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and other government departments, we also offer integrated Electronic Surveillance capabilities to a number of government initiatives.
Our work plays a vital role in solving today’s real-world problems, but we’re equally focused on future needs. An important part of our remit is giving guidance and direction on how the UK government researches and develops different sensors across all platforms to provide an integrated countermeasure capability.
Our specific technical capabilities are grouped into the following areas:
- expert advice on sensor systems
- sensor technology
- electronic surveillance technology
- platform protection
- integrated threat evaluation in support of military tactics and countermeasure development
We are currently looking for Scientists and Engineers to join our team across a number of roles and at all levels.
