The provision of independent nuclear safety advice to major customers in the UK nuclear sector
Involvement in research tasks in the civil or defence nuclear sectors
The production of technical reports to record the outcome of your work
Representing the Department in technical meetings with clients and third parties
Presentation of work to customers and third parties
Project management
Delivering your work to agreed timescales and budget
Identifying new business opportunities
Leading/assisting with the production of contract proposals and bids
Assisting in maintaining the technical capability and knowledge of the team
Educated to or equivalent level in mathematics, science or engineering or equivalent
A relevant post graduate qualification is desirable but not essential
Previous work within the civil nuclear industry or the defence nuclear sector would be an advantage, as would familiarity with nuclear safety cases and PSA methods
Candidates with limited knowledge are welcome to apply, and will be considered if they can demonstrate a commitment to learn new skills
Security clearance to work on defence related projects will be required
