Job Title: Product Support Engineer

Introduction:
My client is a Leading Marine Engineering company, They specialize in delivering world class Engineering solutions from Initial Design, Build through to Installation, Supplying the Royal Navy along with many other Navies throughout the world, They are now looking for a Product Support Engineer to join their existing Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong Mechanical Engineering background with the capability to solve manufacturing problems whether that be through Design, Materials or Machining issues.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating a variety of support activities for in service equipment including updates to existing drawings and documentation, Providing technical advice and progressing spares / repairs through the workshop.
- Liaising with Installation and fitting teams.
- Responsible for overseeing Mechanical equipment coming back into the workshop in order for Maintenance, Repair and modification.
- Effective organizational skills and the ability to work well and deliver within demanding time constraints.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3 years system Engineering / Design experience in Industrial or Marine applications.
- Experience of dealing with customers to provide product support would be an advantage.
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering Qualification or relevant Apprenticeship along with relevant trade qualification.
- Knowledge of Pro Engineer or equivalent with proven background and experience of creating high quality production drawings is required.
