My client is looking for a Product Manager to be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for the company`s range of video tracking and image processing sub-systems.
The company are world leaders in the design and manufacture of rugged, real-time video tracking and image processing systems in the defence industry.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
· Leading the product strategy and roadmap
· Gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements
· Maintaining a clear understanding of the state of the art of the constituent technologies used in the product
· Managing the whole product lifecycle from product definition through to obsolescence management
· Understanding and monitoring the competitive landscape
· Ensuring financial targets are met
· Supporting sales and marketing activities
· Deciding tactical priorities in consultation with project managers and senior management
· Working with sales and marketing to develop ?go-to-market` strategy
Qualifications/Requirements
· Possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline
· Experience in image processing and/or electro optics systems
· Experience in the defence and aerospace sector would be an advantage
· Strong people management skills
· Be proactive and able to work on own initiative
· Be customer focused
The position is based in Bracknell, attracts a salary of circa £60k and requires the ability to pass UK security checks.
