Leading
international electronics and systems group, serving defence, aerospace and security markets globally, now urgently needs to recruit a Project Procurement Manager to join its defence procurement team based in Crawley. The role will be responsible for managing the procurement aspects of all projects/bids/contracts in support of large new communications development programmes. As a Project Procurement Lead you will lead the: - Implementation of Purchasing strategy into new development projects/bids/contracts - To play a key role in the Make/Buy process/decisions - Focus and optimisation of supply chain costs early in the development project /bid/contract life cycle - Ensure that contracts/TRS/SOW are negotiated with suppliers that transfer appropriate risk to the supply chain - Management of export license issues - Protection of the commercial interests of the company You will have proven project procurement/sub-contract management experience gained within a defence environment coupled with excellent risk and project management skills. You will be a well practiced negotiator with the ability to manage sub-contracts and multiple stakeholders. Commercially you will have a good understanding of complex contract documents e.g. ITT’s, Sub-Contracts, SOWs, TRS, SLA’s, and/or Framework Agreements. CIPS qualification/affiliation or equivalent preferred. Basic salary to £45K + full package.
