Summary of the role
Member of the Engineering Design Team responsible for the delivery of quality design solutions to time and cost.
Key accountabilities
- Ensure adequate monitoring of engineering configuration changes within the appointed discipline on behalf of the Design Authority
- Ensure Quality of Engineering in discipline and compliance with the Project Book and Project Process
- Ensure the preparation and delivery of design solutions which fully comply with all applicable current legislation, British Standards and AWE design standards to agreed time, cost and quality requirements
- Ensure compliance, in all activities undertaken, with Company requirements
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience, Skills
- Undertaking engineering conceptual and basic design, installation, commissioning and maintenance requirements of a regulated site (including nuclear and specialist chemical implications)
- A Chartered Engineer and member of an appropriate professional Engineering Institute with a minimum of Degree or equivalent in Chemical/Process Engineering discipline
- Broad relevant industry related experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
- Good oral, written and presentational skills
