We are looking for a Project Director or Senior Project Manager to lead and develop a growing programme team currently delivering a major MOD contract. Knowledge of the Defence market would be advantageous within an engineering and technology-based sector.

They have undergone significant growth and as a result are actively recruiting for an experienced Programme or Project Director to lead a programme team managing a significant multi million pound project for the MOD.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
This high profile role carries the full responsibility for the business management and delivery of current and future high value projects. You will provide strong clear leadership to an established project team whilst managing the risk programme, service deliveries and building effective relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
This role demands a proven track record of delivering large projects and programmes of an engineering bias. You will need excellent financial and business acumen, the ability to manage an engineering workforce as well as significant sub contractors and of course Project management skills of the highest order, experience of dealing with the MOD is favoured.
REQUIREMENTS:
Sound understanding of project management disciplines coupled with at least 5 years engineering/manufacturing experience.
Professional qualification preferred
Knowledge of Earned Value Management processes.
Experience in MOD Projects preferred but not essential.
Proven track record of delivering on time, within budget and to the specified quality levels.
Ability to produce detailed programmes using Microsoft Project.
Commercially aware with knowledge of risk and change management.
