My client, a multi billion pound organisation and a world leader in the design, development and supply of strategic and tactical communication systems
for Defence Forces worldwide, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Principal Manufacturing Engineer for their major manufacturing site based in West Sussex. The primary purpose of the role is to plan, direct and oversee the technical aspects of production programmes to ensure the most efficient and economical methods of manufacture. As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer you should have experience of mechanical or electro-mechanical or electronic assembly manufacture,ideally in a low volume – high value industry, preferably defence (but this is not essential). Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques and preferably involvement in NPI (New Product Introduction) and process lean deployment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and varied environment with a company working at the leading edge of the Defence and Commercial communications sector. SALARY up to £37k + Benefits incl Pension, Flexi Start/Finish, 26 days holiday.
