PRINCIPAL DIGITAL DESIGN ENGINEER

* Vital position leading all design & Project Management activities for an area of the Business or specific project subsystem
* Encompasses day to day control of assigned EE staff & provides an excellent opportunity to develop into team leadership of multi-disciplinary teams; sometimes Multi-national
* Also manufacturing & test, delivering tasks & equipment to demanding project timescales
Applications welcomed from competent DIGITAL DESIGNERS with technical skills in 1 or more of the following:
- Design of Xilinx FPGA devices (including SoC configurations) particularly Virtex 2 pro, 4 & 5
- Design of Digital Electronics including Microprocessor, e.g Power PC
- Design of Analogue Electronics; up to & including RF
- Design of Power Electronics, e.g Actuator drive circuitry
- Derivation of sub-system architectures from system requirement inputs
- PCB Packaging/layout of complex PCBs
Must also have competence in 1 or more of:
* Use of CAE Design tools: Xilinx EDK, Mentor Graphics HDL Designer, Leonardo Spectrum, Precision Synthesis, ModelSim, Board Architect, Board Station RE
* Negotiation of subsystem requirements with systems teams
* Writing Subsystem Requirement & associated documents
* Able to provide succinct, accurate reports/presentations |
