Job Summary
A highly experienced and competent consultant is required to join our growing team of consultants in the Air Division with both a technical delivery capability which will evolve into a part-time Business Development role. The Air Division encompasses Air Traffic Management and Airport operations and has the support of an experienced dynamic team with a breadth of skills and a deep understanding of the operational domain. Much of the work is involved with new innovations in introducing major new systems and concepts of operation. In addition to the technical role, the candidate needs to be both suitable and enthusiastic to evolve in to the additional role of developing business related to consultancy services with existing and new clients in the air traffic management, airports, airfields and related industries, building on the established reputation of the company. The role will involve extensive liaison across the UK, European and wider customer community, and with potential partners and suppliers, interacting with customers at a high level. The role will also involve the management and preparation of competitive bids and production of necessary marketing materials.List of Responsibilities - Development of innovative solutions to customer problems drawing on best practice from the many domains of the company and beyond.
- Undertake internal Project Manager role on major projects with responsibilities for understanding customer requirements, developing proposals (technical & commercial), planning & management of activities and assurance of the outputs.
- Monitor the domain requirements and identify additional skills or experience required to enhance the business.
- Building sustainable relationships with customers initially in a business development and subsequently account management role, seeking out future business opportunities and managing these through to new work.
- Shall have good written and verbal communication skills and be experienced in successfully managing, preparing and presenting bids and presentations to both internal and external customers.
- In the longer term, take over the development and maintenance of the Business Development Plan.
Mandatory Requirements of the role
Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent essential.Air Traffic Controller background and relevant experience in air domain desirable. Experience Required - Proven experience to deliver in one or more skills of Safety and/or Risk Management / Assessment, Requirements Management, Systems Engineering, Security and Asset Management within the Air domain at senior level.
- Good track record of developing and providing consultancy services based business in the air domain.
- Good track record of both managing and writing winning bids.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Flexible approach and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Software Normal MS Office and IT skills. Security Clearance Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared to at least SC level without restrictions prior to appointment.
