Purpose of Job
To contribute to the delivery of contractually agreed security tasks and deliverables into the Trusted Borders consortium.

Staff management responsibilities
The job role requires that the individual takes ownership of, and delivers assigned tasking as part of the team, working with peers, more junior and senior colleagues, both within team and the wider consortium.
Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required
•Candidates must be prepared to deputise for one another and be prepared to take on a range of overlapping tasks such that resilience and availability of the team is preserved.
•The IA team deliver to a US Prime in the consortium and are responsible for the advice on UK accreditation policy, HMG IA standards and CESG manuals, memoranda and good practice. As such a good understanding of UK IA policy and a proven track record of implementation in line with it is essential.
•IA team members should have the confidence, gravitas and personal presentation to stand up and present technically and push back against inappropriate and uncontracted requests for effort, thereby delivering outstanding client impact.
Challenges
•Effectively delivering assigned tasks into the consortium
•Managing the Prime contractors expectation and over-achieving against it
•Delivering a variety of security tasks from accreditation documents, policies, compliance reports, SyOPs, audit reports as well as providing a level of ad-hoc support
•Supporting the document review processes set up by the prime contractor
•In conjunction with the IA manager and security team project manager, ensure service targets and deliverables are met on time, within an agreed budget and with the appropriate internal and external quality approval processes followed
•Managing a personal workload to best effect, prioritising where appropriate in conjunction with the IA manager and supporting the team priorities as directed by managers
Essential qualifications
•Previous experience of working in and supporting a high performance team
•Previous experience as a security consultant delivering services in a time critical environment
•Recognised security industry qualification
•Previous experience of working within an HMG Infosec environment
Desirable qualifications
•CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS) Member
•Security design experience - DMZ, Accounting and Audit systems, design for evidential weight, multi-security domain design experience.
•RMADS writing including HMG IS1 and 2 for a variety of clients in an HMG context
•Security requirements specification writing and compliance evidence gathering for presentation
