MANUFACTURING ENGINEER / WEST MIDLANDS

Critical role analysing & improving manufacturing methods associated with manufacturing & test of PCB assemblies for Aerospace applications. We are keen to hear from Manufacturing Engineers with skills as follows:
* Strong background in Printed Circuit Board Assembly manufacturing or other Electronics manufacturing pref
* Proven ability to work in an analytical & structured manner
* Demonstrated knowledge of: SPCstatistical analysis exp, Six Sigma tools & methodology, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing techniques (Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, TPM, Poke Yoke etc) & strong project scheduling skills using MS Project
* Exp leading DMAIC projects
* Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification desirable (Green Belt)
Challenging opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. This varied role includes:
* Deploy appropriate tools ensuring processes are fully under control (Six Sigma, SPC, PFMEA)
* Use DMAIC / PDCA methodology to realize true root cause analysis & elimination of problems
* Introduce new manufacturing & assembly techniques to improve quality, cost & delivery
* Risk assessment reviews
* Support Lean Manufacturing culture & champion implementation of Lean methodologies
* Support New Product Introduction ensuring products are designed for manufacture
* Manufacturing interface with the PIM team
* Develop manufacturing route taking into account existing capability & new requirements
* Manufacturing documentation, BOM maintenance, & component locations for effective manufacturing
* Development of manufacturing capacity plan, efficiency & utilization measures |
