Job Title: Offsite Project Manager

Introduction:
My client is a Leading Marine Engineering company, They specialize in delivering world class Engineering solutions from Initial Design, Build through to Installation, Supplying the Royal Navy along with many other Navies throughout the world, They are now looking for a Offsite Project Manager to join their existing Engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong Commercial Engineering background with the capability to Manage and deliver a wide variety of Engineering Projects on time and to budget, This role will require you to travel throughout the UK and Overseas.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for Managing, Planning and Coordinating a number of Engineering Projects including short notice breakdowns, Re-fits and upgrades on a wide variety of Marine / Naval based projects.
- You will be fully conversant with working to Budgets, Timescales and planning working hours.
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Offsite Technical Manager, the main duties will be the control of budgets, programmes and commercial aspects of all offsite installation and commissioning activities.
- Proven background in liaising with Installation and fitting teams.
- Liaising with customers and clients.
Applicant Requirements:
- Responsible for all Health and Safety issues within the project.
- Experience of dealing with customers on a daily basis is essential.
- Previous experience of estimating and preparation of proposals for emergent work would be an advantage.
- The post demands a good understanding of mechanical equipment for a marine environment together with excellent knowledge and proven track record of controlling site works within budget and to demanding timescales.
- To compliment a flexible approach, the successful candidate will be resourceful and capable of solving problems through direct contact with the customer.
- Recognised Apprenticeship along with relevant trade qualification.
- A good understanding of the Marine / Naval industry.
- Engineer with a minimum 5 years project / engineering control experience in industrial or marine applications.
