MECHANICAL ARCHITECT / HERTFORDSHIRE / £NEG
* Critical Mechanical Architect role for applications with good presentation & communication skills. Your PC skills will include Word, Excel, Access & other software of benefit (e.g Pascal, Fortran, Nastran, Visual Basic, FEM, C)
* In the bid phase, your role includes leading spacecraft initial mechanical configuration/layout trade offs to achieve initial design concept
* During the detailed design phase, you will co-ordinate all subsystems/appendages within this concept & during the CD phase specify applicable loads & agree verification philosophy
* Also to check test results at spacecraft & major sub assembly levels for in house builds & subcontracted elements
* You will presents the satellite architecture to customers using presentations & formal design review packs & meetings
* Also agree/accept test results from various phases of build (subsystem/spacecraft) & defend these at customer delivery reviews
* Manage mechanical analysis team during satellite level environmental test, including liaison to customer, launch service provider, test facilities AIT & project management |
