The Job Purpose
Our client requires a Management Accountant to become a member of the Finance, Planning and Reporting team providing business decision support and management accounting services to the Indirect Procurement (IPS) and HR business (which includes our client’s outsourced HR supplier).
The role also includes a consolidation and reporting capability to the Shared Services function for Monthly Management Report, half and full year reporting and the Integrated Business Plan process.
The Key Responsibilities
1. Primary finance interface with IPS and HR directors and teams responsible for preparation of IPS/HR Monthly Management Report (MMR), cost base reports, Integrated Business Plan (IBP), Risks and Opportunities analysis;
2. Support to the IPS team on cost apportionment and recharge methodologies for all spend;
3. Support to business decisions within IPS/HR from a financial perspective;
4. Support to and challenge of IPS/HR regarding cash forecasting and control;
5. Review of IPS savings model ensuring integrity of savings reported;
6. Interface with the outsourced HR company on all finance related matters including attendance at Service Review Boards;
7. All aspects of financial control relating to IPS/HR including Financial Controls Framework and balance sheet reconciliations;
8. Consolidation of period end Shared Services MMR and onward transmission of data using Hyperion including commentary, projects to cash summaries, risk and opportunities and enterprise metrics;
9. Consolidation of half and full year reporting packages for shared services including tax packs and supporting audit requirements;
10. Support to Finance Planning and Reporting (FPR) manager in completing quarterly and half yearly Operational Assurance Statements and Risk Registers;
The Person
The role requires a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) who is proactive in their approach, has the ability to prioritise and who has good attention to detail.
Excellent MS Excel Skills and experience of accounting packages are desirable.
