Role:
To carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance and refurbishment works on all Lift and Escalator assets to the performance levels and specification within the fixed price and other contracts.
Duties:
Reporting on job progress.
Verifying the post holders group's attendance.
Ensuring all work is performed correctly using set procedures, to the highest standard and to ensure the necessary paperwork is accurately processed.
Ensuring the group's compliance with the Company's Safety and Quality Standards.
Ensuring the group's compliance with the Division's Safety Management System.
Acting as the Lift, Escalator and Pump Manager's representative at all times.
Skills:
Trained as an apprentice or have progressed through an adult training scheme and will be proficient in both mechanical and electrical engineering. Practical expertise required.
Ability to read a schematic diagram, wiring diagram and apply this to actual faults.
Skills test by Shift Manager on drawing reading.
Ability to use the correct equipment, multi-meter/flute-meter.
Ability to follow correct procedure, without deviation, form stated operational procedures.
Ability to use the correct equipment and record results.
Be able to carry out a wide range of electrical and mechanical measurements for monitoring purposes.
Certification required which comprises of: Machine room aware Fire training, Track training, up to and including Protection master engineering hrs Rules & Regulations electrical competent, Safe isolation, Confined space and Site person in charge both track & stations.
