Our client is seeking an Electronics Technician to work on various projects within the LCD Projects field. The prime responsibility of the Electronics Technician will be to support engineers in the System Design Centre (SDC) in the delivery of projects supporting LCD business opportunities. The following will be primary tasks:- The SDC design, build and release evaluation solutions to promote new component releases from our clients supplier base. Projects cover a wide range of applications within the Industrial, Medical, Telecommunication and Military markets.Projects typically have a 6 month cycle time.

Principal Accountabilities:Test of project boards for verification and approval for release to customers. Assembly and rework on project boards. Test of electronic boards. PCB layout following electronic schematic drawing documents. Bill of Materials generation and piece part purchase for prototype build. Completion of documentation of LCD board designs.Knowledge Skills and Experience:Educated to C&G Electronic Certificate or equivalent. Surface mount component board assembly experience essential. Assembly line electronic test experience essential. PCB design layout experience an advantage. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Highly organised, self-motivated. Creative problem solver. Personal Attributes:Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Responsive to customer requests and requirements (both internal and external customers). Hands on activist able to move quickly in a dynamic environment. Ability to use own initiative. Display flexibility and the ability to adapt readily to new ways of working.Project Management: Organised. Attentive to important detail.Positively tackles tasks to ensure that they are completed to an agreed standard and timescale.
