LOCATION: 1 x North & 1 x South (Working From Home)

Purpose of Role

The role is a customer facing position, it is intended that the appointed persons will act as ambassadors of the Client at all times.

Key Responsibilities

1. To control randomly, but structured and regularly, that sub-contractors are working to Client site rules and procedures.
All information and paperwork regarding ‘spot checks' should be given to the Drivers Training Manager weekly. This information will be uploaded to the driver training database.

2. Information concerning the condition of Clientequipment should be communicated to the Technical Department.

3. To gain whatever commercial information is practicable and convey to the Commercial Department.
4. To train new hauliers in Client procedures making sure that they are adequately equipped to perform as required
5. To carry out container CSC inspections, after being trained and authorised
6. To act on the company's behalf as outlined above and in accordance with company rules, outlined in the employee's handbook.
7. Maintain the professional image of our Clients.

8. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all employees, sub-contractors and clients' representatives.

9. Ensure the provision of a Safe & Healthy working environment.

Accountabilities

1. Accountabilities to the QHSSE Manager and Driver Training Manager.

2. The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff.

3. This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility.

Person Specification

Education:

A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills. Computer literate, word, excel, outlook etc.

Training & Qualifications:
•Recognised auditing skills
•IOSH Working Safely
•HGV licence (Desirable)

Relevant Experience:
•Working to self planned timescales
•Knowledge of lone working requirements
•Risk Assessment trained
•Experience of logistical businesses (Desirable)
Aptitudes:
•Good verbal communication skills at all levels
•Good written English skills
•Able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of the Clients operations and services
Character:
•Mature outlook and able to communicate with people of all levels in a positive manner
•Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service
•Able to make sound decisions when needed
•Able to work under pressure
•Able to work at height
Circumstances:

This position will require extensive travel throughout your respective patch. This is a key position within the QHSSE Department. The position is vital to the efficient and effective control of our sub-contractors, as well as helping to safeguard the condition of equipment.
The incumbent must be willing to develop new skills relating to his/her role.

Holidays: 20 Days (rising with service)


Salary details: £18,000 - £23,000 dependant on experience, Pension, company car, laptop and phone
