The Employer:
Sat-Comm are a well-established, privately owned company based in Suffolk, less than 30 minutes from Cambridge, providing high quality bespoke mobile technical solutions to the Worldwide Broadcast and Telecommunications market. The company also offers a complete vehicle fabrication facility making us one of a select few in the UK whose capabilities and expertise combine to offer a complete turnkey solution.
The Role:
The successful applicant will assume responsibility for measuring, cutting, preparation and the finishing of materials and fabricated structures.
Requirements:
The ideal applicant will be capable of reading and understanding an engineering drawing to a degree that they can weld and manufacture light/medium fabrications. An attitude towards learning and personal development are encouraged. Experience in a similar role is essential. Tig welding skills are to be of a high standard using various materials, including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium. We require self motivation and an eye for detail to thrive in this role and applicants should be able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
Salary details: £8 - £11 per hour depending upon skill/experience & qualifications.
