Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be trained in all aspects of Mechanical Design within this company working on Microwave technology. Learning the use of UGS Ideas and CAD system, SWAN and other bespoke systems, enabling design and change process to be completed, from conceptual 3D Modelling to production of manufacturing data packs.
This role is based in West London commutable from Slough, Egham, Chertsey and Maidenhead.
Main Duties
To learn the systems and software utilised within the company necessary to provide the required documentation by the Division.
To work with other engineers and achieve satisfactory designs using software design tools available.
To produce 3D models and drawings as required. Support other engineers in creating drawings from conceptual models.
To create SWAN parts and Bills of Materials.
To action change notes as per instructions
To gain awareness of relevant methodologies, technologies, processes and quality techniques within the Division.
Attend programme and design review meetings as required.
To support the other division of the business when required.
To undertake any other task, which may reasonably be requested.
To comply with the Company Policy on Health and safety.
Qualifications & Experience
HNC/HND/Degree Mechanical Engineering
Prior use of a CAD package, during College/University course (Desirable).
