Introduction:
Our client is a successful marine engineering company that specialises in design, manufacture and testing of Hydraulic systems on board a diverse range of vessels. Established nearly 20 years ago, our client have operations around the globe and offer 24 hour customer support. Due to continued success they now have a requirement for a time served Hydraulic Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of complete hydraulic systems on a range of seagoing vessels
- Fault finding and repair of hydraulic valves, pumps, rams etc.
- Planning of pipe runs including the manufacture and bending of stainless steel tubing of various sizes up to 42mm
- Perform various welding activities, in particular TIG.
- Primarily based in Devon, however the role will require occasional worldwide travel.
Applicant Requirements:
- It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be time served and have a background in Marine Engineering or a similar hydraulic role.
- Have the ability to work autonomously or within a team.
- The ability to read hydraulic drawings.
- Additional electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Have a “Work hard, Play hard” attitude
- The flexibility to occasionally work away from home for up to 3 weeks.
- The successful applicant must be eligible to live and work in the UK and undergo security vetting.
