Summary of the role
To define and implement the Organisational Areas (OA) Assurance Implementation Strategy in response to emergent corporate policy standards and guidance in the Environment, Safety and Health arena. To assist facilities in the delivery of key assurance (Security, Quality, Environment, Safety & Health) improvement activities within the OA.
Key accountabilities
• Provide the interface with Division Heads and Facility Managers and Assurance Heads Of Profession on the implementation aspects and business impact of changes in Corporate Assurance Policy and Standards
• To define an Organisational Area (OA) process and strategy for the review of assurance documentation at facility level, ensuring that it meets the facility, OA and Company requirements
• Liaison with central assurance and relevant OA staff on the production and review of company assurance documentation, ensuring that the OA process interfaces efficiently with the Company processes
• To assist in the implementation of cross OA assurance functions
• To identify, manage and assist in the delivery of assurance improvement activities within the OA, including those aimed at and improving assurance culture
• To provide support in the identification of assurance activities to be monitored, including input to and delivery of aspects of the Environment, Safety and Health audit programmes within the OA
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• UK Health and Safety legislation
• Nuclear Site Licensing arrangements is desirable
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent experience
• Member IOSH or other relevant professional organisation desirable
• Relevant work experience, associated with the implementation of Assurance management systems
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Problems solving and analytical thinking
• Focusing on achievement
• Making sound decisions
Special Requirements
• Willing to work as a RA monitored worker
