Job Title: Graduate Electrical Design Engineer

Introduction:
My client is one of the world’s leading Naval shipbuilders, Delivering world class solutions in the Design and Build of advanced Warships, Supplying the Royal Naval along with many other Navies throughout the world, They are now looking for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join their state of the art Production facility in Portsmouth, Reporting to the Chief Electrical Designer you will responsible for the following.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out, as part of the team tasks associated with the concept and detailed design of electrical systems on Naval Vessels and any other projects undertaken in the future.
- Other duties will include analysis, definition and preparation of technical specifications for: Power generation and distribution systems, Power conversion machinery, Platform management systems, Lighting systems, Detection systems, Lightning protection
Degaussing systems, Flight deck and hangar electrical services.
- To observe and follow the companies health and safety rules and guidelines,
- Flexible attitude towards regular travel both within the UK and overseas
- Will be required to cross all disciplines of engineering but particular experience and competence in the Electrical / Hull Outfit area is required.
Applicant Requirements:
- Ideally be educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering
- Be able to communicate effectively as part of a multi disciplined team,
- Be able to demonstrate good presentation skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
