Our client is a leader in the field of trials and evaluation of military aircraft and their associated avionic, communications, navigation and weapons systems. The requirement is for a Flight Test Engineer, Mission Systems Engineer to be based in the Salisbury area.
The Flight Test Engineer, Mission Systems Engineer will have the following key accountabilities –
Conduct of specified avionics/weapon systems assessment trials to include Mission Computer Operational Flight Plan, avionics system integration/functionality and weapon aiming assessments.
Responsible for the planning and execution of assessments (to include desk top, avionics rig and flight trials)
Production of trials documentation (Evaluation & Test Strategy, Trials Instructions, Flight Test Cards)
Brief and Debrief aircrew during flight trials
Analysis and assessment of rig and flight trial results
Responsible for production of technical assessment report including Military Aircraft Release Recommendations
The successful Flight Test Engineer, Mission Systems Engineer will have the following capabilities and competencies –
Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) or alternatively a Flight Test Engineer or an Ex Military Officer with relevant experience or aero systems qualification
Flight test trials experience
Knowledge of aircraft avionics and weapons systems
Understanding of military airworthiness processes
