Summary of the role

To ensure that the Explosive Business Unit Safety Cases's engineering baseline configuration status is maintained and up to date.

Key accountabilities

• Verify status of the facility engineering configuration baseline, reporting on configuration risk associated with the multiple work-fronts and long-lead modifications
• Mange to completion and close-out legacy modification packages that present a high configuration risk to facility operations
• Maintain proactive liaison with Directorate Infrastructure to ensuring corporate arrangements for drawing office support are aligned to the demand expectations of the Explosive Business Unit
• Support the Change Control process during times of high demand or absence
• Act as Secretary to the Modification Control Committee on a rotational basis
• Oversee arrangements for archive document retrieval, advising and assisting customers of this service


Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience, Skills

• Configuration management standards, systems and processes
• Process Plant and Equipment life cycle
• Company Quality and Safety Assurance principles
• ONC / HNC (or equivalent) in relevant engineering discipline
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent training
• Worked within a high hazard facility or industry
• Engineering related configuration management
• Computer literate
• Effective communications, both written and oral
• Sound and reliable judgement
• Conflict resolution
• Good organisational skills


Special Requirements

• A willingness to become a Monitored Radiation Worker
• A Driving Licence would be advantageous as some off site travel may be required
