Summary of the role
Responsible for improving existing processes and developing new processes, equipment and methods to support AWEs current and future programme requirements.
Key accountabilities
Following an appropriate period of training and development, become part of a team responsible for the Ultra Precision
- Manufacturing capability that supports AWE’s programmes. This will include;-
- Development and capability maintenance of processes, equipment and methods to assure processes and equipment produce quality product
- Manufacture of ultra precision components to agreed schedules
- Keeping abreast of commercial product developments, and where appropriate academic research/development
- Providing reliable and timely technical information and technical support to AWE’s programmes
- Transfer of proven technology and processes to other manufacturing areas
