Our client is the leading European aircraft manufacturer with excellent facilities in the Bristol area. The requirement is for a Design Capability Specialist, Aircraft Structures Designer to take responsibility for defining detailed design processes, deployment of the process and monitoring the use to ensure effective application and use of best practise.
The Design Capability Specialist, Aircraft Structures Designer will require the following skills and knowledge –
A Degree or HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering and strong experience in the Aerospace Industry
Excellent communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving
The ability to rapidly and confidently assess problems under pressure and to provide the appropriate direction and guidance to team members
A competent CAD user preferably CADDS5 and OPTEGRA EPD connect
Have a detailed understanding of the design process and of engineering best practices
