Key Tasks/Responsibilities
• Identify innovative and creative design features
• Manage design process, produce/develop design control documentation
• Select and approve design sub-contractors and if required sub-consultants
• Produce scope of works for sub-contract procurement of design sub-contract packages
• Manager and co-ordinate the approval and issue of drawings and specification to site in a timely manner
• Co-ordinate statutory approvals with the lead designer
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills. Be able to make a full contribution at both design and sub-contract meetings and will be stationed on site, working under the direct supervision of the project manager. The successful candidate will need to keep up to date with modern methods of construction.
