CONTRACT EMC ENGINEER / WEST MIDLANDS / 3 MONTHS / £NEG
Challenging position for a Contract EMC Engineer to work closely with internal/external customers, ensuring products comply with various customer specifications/legal requirements
* Great opportunity to work in a dedicated team providing EMC validation/design services for a range of electronic products & systems in tier 1 automotive/aerospace businesses
- We are keen to hear from EMC Engineers with EMC/RF exp in testing, circuit design or approvals/standards
- Also a good understanding of RF measurement principles & modern test/control instrumentation
* Automotive or aerospace products/systems exp, pref working within one of those industries
* Exp setting up/conducting EMC tests
* Knowledge/exp of quality systems, ideally UKAS
* Work accurately/efficiently under pressure & produce clear/accurate reports
* Degree/HNC/HND in electronics or physics/equiv exp
In this varied role, the Contract EMC Engineer will:
- Set up/conduct all types of EMC test within the scope of the laboratory
- Follow test specs/plans & accurately recording results
- Check/calibrate equipment/test chambers
- Supervise/assist customer staff operating lab equipment
- Maintain log books, collate test data & produce technical reports
