Varied & challenging role for a Composite/Metallic Stress Engineer. Involves analysis of composite & metallic aircraft structure using standard static stressing methods to develop design solutions
- We are keen to hear from stress engineers with exp as an engineer (pref aircraft industry)
- Also Static analysis of composite & metallic structures using a broad range of standard hand/computer method desirable
- Your skills must extend to an understanding of the fundamental method of analysis for static stressing & able to develop these methods
- Also able to assess structural analysis problems
- Some knowledge of the application of FE analysis & an understanding of aircraft production methods/processes
- THIS CRITICAL STRESS ROLE INCLUDES liaison with Fatigue & Damage Tolerance, Design & appropriate departments to devise optimum design solutions
- Also Static stressing calculations to assess design solutions using standard hand/computer methods
- You will liaise with Methods & Data group to ensure methods, assumptions, data & procedures reflect on-going developments
- Support on-going local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through methods/process improvements |
