COMMODITY MANAGER / MIDDLESEX / £41K-£42K

* A Commodity Manager is required to source & develop suppliers & teaming partners capable of meeting our customer's requirements & committed to the principles of cost reduction programmes & the development of flexibility within the supply chain
* A professional is sought with experience managing MRP & major sub-contracts within the Military sector
* You must be a self starter capable of negotiating internally & with the supplier base to achieve the goals of the business
* Must be a Qualified CIPS member preferably by examination with the necessary IT skills
* Role also involves selection of & negotiation with major suppliers to achieve on time delivery at an agreed price & lowest cost of ownership
* Also purchase of all materials for both manufacturing & engineering
* You will develop a strategic approach to supply chain management & implement best practise techniques
* Facilitate the use of the intranet as a means of trading with the supply base
