Summary of the role
To manage a facility Planning Team to ensure co-ordination of all activities on plant and equipment to ensure that plant, equipment and work area interfaces between operational, maintenance and construction activities are planned in a safe and deconflicted manner.
Key accountabilities
• Demonstration of effective risk management to the Directorate Business Manager and the Corporate Business Risk and Continuity Manager
• Manage departmental business risk & continuity in support of strategic objectives
• Continuously review learn and improvement of strategies & processes
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Sound understanding of Corporate governance
• Business risk and continuity management principles
• Understands the principles of Project Management
• An understanding of three point estimating is desirable
• Attainment of applicable degree or formal qualification
• Project Management or Risk Management qualifications would be an advantage
• Implementation of a business risk and continuity management process within a large organisation
• Experience in using risk management software
• Successful liaising with senior management
• Experience of the MS office packages
• Experience of working in project/technical environment
• Risk management experience
• Programme/Project Management experience would be an advantage
• Relationship management
• Understand and Management of Customer expectations
• Project & People management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to promote strategic thinking above parochial concerns
• Influencing and negotiation skills
