BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - DEFENCE MARKET
SOUTH WALES / £60K BASIC - £80K OTE
Great opportunity to join a leader in the defence engineering industry. In this challenging role the Business Development & Sales Manager (Far East) will develop & execute strategies to win profitable business in accordance with targets over the next 5 years
We are keen to hear from managers with INTERNATIONAL sales including a deep understanding of the DEFENCE MARKET, preferably with knowledge & dealings in the FAR EAST & a good understanding of GOVERNMENT & MILITARY cultures there
- Demonstrable track record identifying/creating new client relationships & managing existing relationships/clients & nurturing strong relationships at a senior level
* Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared before appointment
* Willing to travel extensively; languages an advantage.
ROLE:
* In this critical role you will contribute to development of long term strategic business plan over a 5 year period
* Identify market developments/pursue strategic opportunities arising from this, in the short term but more importantly with long term opportunities
* Gather market intelligence to identify future opportunities/potential clients
* Work with the Business Units to identify market developments/pursue strategic opportunities - in short & long terms
* Plan regional specific marketing campaigns to support international sales activity in that region
* Develop/build/maintain new & existing long term customer relationships
* Establish/sustain wider relationships in the international defence environment
* Manage/co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams, responding to business opportunities & customer requirements
* Develop/write new business proposals
* Promote internal awareness of international opportunities |
