Bid/ Programme Manager
A Global Defence and Electronic Engineering Organisation is currently seeking a Bid/ Programme Manager in Crawley. The Bid/ Programme Manager will be responsible for the: -Delivery of complex development programmes -Delivery Of technical requirements, on time performance and financial commitments on allocated project(s). -Determination of through life support strategy. -Resource management of the project(s) in conjunction with functional managers. -Delivery of bids in support of new business acquisition. Adoption and implementation of the Business Management processes. More specifically key tasks will involve: -Delivering Gross Margin on allocated Programmes. -Management and co-ordination of all activities within the Programme -Formulation of Bid Strategy, Win Themes, Discriminators etc -Management of Bid teams to deliver costed proposals -To report monthly performance The successful applicant must have the following skills: -Track record of delivering complex development programmes (comprising Systems, Software and Hardware engineering) to cost, schedule and quality. -Previous exposure to (and the ability to work within) a matrix organisation -Strong understanding of Risk Management, Programme Finance including work in progress, FCAC, EVM. -Experience of delivering successful bids to MOD customers. -Working with a defined Business Management SystemUse of PM Tools such as Pertmaster, Primavera would be advantageous.
