My client , a leading Construction Consultancy are actively looking to recruit an ambitious, Audit Manager to work in their prestigious London HQ.
Job Role
Within the UK construction market there has been a significant increase in the use of target cost and cost reimbursable contracts which have resulted in the need for accurate financial auditing of contractor's accounts to ensure value for money is delivered to clients.
Working as part of an integrated consultancy team this role will comprise undertaking financial audits and verification of actual costs for construction suppliers/contractors engaged on target cost and cost reimbursable construction contracts. The role will also require candidates to assess the capability and compliance procedures of a supplier/contractor's financial tools and processes, and to assist in the development of specific audit tests and risk management procedures to ensure that clients only reimburse contractors for properly incurred costs.

Responsibilities
Understand and approve supplier Data Collection Systems
Assure suppliers are complying with agreed DCS
Undertake supplier compliance and process audits
Undertake supplier risk assessments
Develop required work programmes to deliver AFC reductions, in conjunction with Cost and Commercial Management
Execute work programmes and report progress
Building ongoing working relationships with suppliers/contractors
Contribute to the building of community of Cost Assurance experts within EC Harris
Skills / Experience Required
Financial audit
Process/systems compliance experience
Sufficient and appropriate experience of identifying and assessing risks in both a financial and project environment
Cost Collection Systems (e.g. COINS, STARS, JDE Edwards)
Part qualified accountant (preferred but not essential)
Independent (from suppliers/contractors being audited)
Hands-on & results orientated
