My Client a Central Government Organisation, i slooking for an Interim Apple MAC Technician.
you would be responsible for:
• Technical design and build of the environment
• Testing strategy
• Coordinating system and UAT testing with other ICTS staff and user community
• Implementation and Migration
• Technical support assistance to pre and post migration environments
• Technical documentation
• Implementing changes so that there are no unplanned outages and that planned outages are controlled appropriately.
Requested skills
• In-depth knowledge of Apple OSX Client/Server 10.4/10.5.
• Knowledge of Desktop Publishing and Imposition software
• Experience of Windows Active Directory Integration
• Excellent planning, system and user acceptance testing skills
• Ability to produce system documentation and undertake design work.
• Excellent communication skills for both oral and written communication and documentation.
• Recent experience of working in an Apple based publishing support environment.
• Good Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Desirable to have:
• Windows 2003 Server, including Services for Unix
• Experience of working as part of a Server migration and upgrade programme.
• ITIL Service Management Foundation Certificate
• Experience of using the Helpdesk Tool Assyst
• Certified competence in Manual Handling techniques
• Provision of appropriate PPE necessary for some of the work.
