We provide broad based mechanical engineering services including design and manufacturing engineering support to these clients and others. We are now seeking an experienced programme manager with a good mechanical/aeronautical engineering background to help deliver our engineering projects. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for delivery of fixed price aero structures engineering packages to agreed time, quaility and financial performance parameters. Overall project value is £3m, and expected to run for ~9 months.You will lead, and be supported by, a team of Project Managers and Lead engineers. A proportion of the work will contain a sub-contract element, and hence you will also be responsible for managing the contribution of supply chain organisations.
Requirements
Candidates will ideally be degree qualified (or possess suitable experience in lieu of qualification), and have experience of managing engineering projects to time, quality and cost objectives. Aerospace industry experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Experience of supply chain management would be particularly beneficial. Candidates must be able to demonstrate: - Effective client management and communication skills

You will need to show a willingness to work outside normal office hours on occasions and flexibility for working from the office, home and clients premises.
Additional Information
- Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to client’s offices may also be required.
- SECURITY – All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to SC level. Additional restrictions may apply on certain defence programmes
