My client has a vacancy to fill in it`s Avionics department and is looking for a ADA Software Engineer to undertake software test and verification activities including the production of test requirements, harnesses and metrics in support of Air defence-related research.
In addition, to undertake software design, development, integration and unit test activities across a range of projects in support of defence-related research and support to MoD procurements. The successful candidate will work individually and within a team environment to achieve programme results and customer deliverables in a timely and accurate manner, including occasional travel and work at customer sites.
Experience Required:
Experience of the ADA 83 programming language. Knowledge of the software test and verification environment, along with the tools, methods and processes used as part of the software test lifecycle. Hands on experience using C++ and C programming languages. A growing ability to scope software design across larger projects. Experience in the production and implementation of software test requirements, test cases and test plans and an enthusiastic, enquiring nature : willing to learn and develop new skills. Experience of the following is desirable but not essential: Rational Apex Integrated Development Environment Rational TestMate Automated Test Environment Rational SoDA Document Generation Tool Code Coverage Analyzer SummitCM and SummitTM Adobe Framemaker Solaris and other UNIX Operating Systems Aware of DO-178B and related standards An awareness of the Air Defence industry and DO-178B
